Horror lives in spatial audio
A simulation or game is much more than the sum of its parts. Consider, for instance, its development without sound or any other audio components. Have you ever watched a horror film on mute?
Likely not — as without the spine-chilling audio, the experience would be reduced to nothing more than mediocre acting. This realization fueled my anticipation for the 'Virtual Acoustics' course, providing a unique opportunity to delve into the realm of VR audio in Unity.
In this intricate game scenario, the player must, within a specified time frame, correctly identify the Ghouls.
The Ghoul closest to the misty wall is the first to emerge, while the one furthest from the player and facing away is the last to unveil itself when the countdown reaches zero.
The player's success depends on accurately associating each Ghoul's position, enabling them to eliminate the Ghouls in a timely fashion as they embark on their haunting pursuit. Good luck, Hunter!
