Master Projects — Game Engines Module

Unity DOTS, Godot & Unreal Engine

Three engines, three two-week challenges

Game Engines module — projects in Unity DOTS, Godot and Unreal Engine

Project Details

In three distinct two-week projects, my colleague and I took on the challenge as part of the 'Game Engines' module to explore different game engines. Each project came with an additional task.

Project 1 — Unity DOTS

In the first project, we implemented a Unity project based on Unity's data-oriented technology stack (DOTS), delving into the intricacies of this advanced technology within the Unity environment — including the Burst Compiler.

Project 2 — Unreal Engine: Multiplayer Snake

For the second project, we utilized the Unreal Engine to develop a multiplayer game. After a brief familiarization with Unreal Engine, we opted to reimagine the classic Snake game, introducing a multiplayer dimension to the familiar concept.

Project 3 — Godot: Pathfinding PacMan

In the third project, using the Godot Engine, we focused on implementing a pathfinding algorithm. Our choice led us to create our version of PacMan, incorporating the learned algorithm into the game mechanics.
